Richard D. Adair

Director

Mr. Adair is a practiced financial professional with a career spanning more than 20 years. Currently Mr. Adair is President and Chief Operating Officer of Symbility Solutions a wholly owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp (TSXV:AUT) a leading provider of software for the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. Previously, Mr. Adair has acted as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of a series of small to medium-sized private and public technology companies. From 2001-2005, he acted as Chief Financial Officer of Systech Retail Systems Corp. (TSX:SYS), a U.S.-based retail technology company. From 2006-present , Mr. Adair has held a series of roles in Automated Benefits Corp. including Chief Financial Officer.

Meredith K. Appy

Director

Ms. (Meri-K) Appy is an internationally-recognized leader in fire and life safety education. She is a highly respected and sought after safety expert and spokesperson, with broadcast appearances on every major U.S. network. Ms. Appy is currently President of Appy & Associates in Washington D.C.. Previously, she served as President of Safe Kids USA at the Children’s National Medical Center; as President of the Home Safety Council in Washington, D.C. from March 2003 to December 2010; and as Vice President for Public Education at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) from 1989 – 2003. She currently serves on several national Boards and Advisory Committees including: the Congressional Fire Services Institute National Advisory Committee; the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Youth Advisory Committee, the International Association of Fire Chiefs’ Fire and Life Safety Section Board, John’s Hopkins School of Public Health Center for Injury Research and Policy Advisory Board and the Vision 20/20 National Strategies for Fire Loss Prevention’s Executive Committee.

John Bergsma

Chairman

John Bergsma is the Commissioner of Corporate Services for the Regional Municipality of Niagara. He currently sits on the Boards of St. Catharine’s Hydro Inc., Horizon Utilities Corp., Quartet Services Inc., and the Ontario Clean Water Agency.Mr. Bergsma has served as President of Lennox Canada Inc., President & CEO of Union Gas Ltd., President of Massey Ferguson Research Ltd. and Columbus McKinnon Ltd. John has also served on the Board of Directors of CFM Corp., various natural gas utilities, pipeline companies and industry associations, including the Executive Committee of the Board of the International Gas Union.

Kevin R. Callahan

Director

Mr. Callahan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Pioneering Technology Corp. and its subsidiaries. Mr. Callahan is a partner in Upstream Capital Inc., a private investment company and President of The Upstream Group Inc., a private company that works with emerging business ventures.

Prior to forming The Upstream Group, Mr. Callahan worked with EcomPark Inc., a public venture investment firm, as an advisor and as President of one of their investee companies from March 2000 to March 2001. EcomPark was sold in 2001. From November 1994 to March 2000, Mr. Callahan worked in consumer products marketing with BBDO Canada, a division of BBDO Worldwide as Vice-President, Group Director.

David L Dueck

Director

Mr. Dueck is an owner and operator of National Importers Inc., a privately held company that buys, distributes and manages retail products throughout North America; specializing in marketing/ distribution solutions and expert brand, trade and logistics management.

Mr. Dueck is also a principle of McAllister Holdings Ltd, a private investment firm focused on investing in and developing early stage companies.

Paul H. Harricks

Director

Corporate Lawyer and Senior Partner of the law firm Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP.

Mr. Harricks has a transactions-based practice in the areas of securities and corporate finance, project development and finance, mergers and acquisitions (in a variety of sectors) and energy law. He acts for a wide range of Canadian and foreign corporations, investment dealers, banks and financial institutions. He is leader of the firm’s Energy Sector Group and also serves as Chair of the Energy Committee of the Toronto Region Board of Trade.

Michael P. Kraft

Director

Mr. Michael P. Kraft is the Chairman of Buckingham Group Limited, a private merchant banking corporation and President of MPK Inc., a consulting corporation to private and public companies since 1994.

Mr. Kraft is also President, CEO and a Director of Lingo Media and has been so since its inception in 1996 along with being a Director of Estrella Gold Corporation since July 2007, both TSX Venture Exchange listed companies.

Dan MacDonald

President & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. MacDonald’s 20 plus years of experience in leading both technology and consumer goods businesses through periods of growth and transition has equipped him with the skill set to help lead Pioneering in its next phase of development. His professional experience at Kodak Canada and TMP Worldwide, as well as the consumer-packaged goods industry with Pillsbury, Maple Leaf, and Kraft General Foods are valuable assets to the Pioneering management team in guiding the strategic direction and future growth of the business and its transition to retail markets.

James McEwen

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. McEwen is a strategic finance and operations leader with over 15 years’ experience in corporate finance, treasury, manufacturing and supply chain management. He received his Certified Public Accountant designation from the State of Colorado and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Mr. McEwen has held senior leadership positions with BASF Canada and CGC Inc. Most recently, he was an owner/operator of a manufacturing business in the commercial and residential construction industry.

Laird Comber

Vice President of Sales

Mr. Comber is Vice President of Sales for Pioneering Technology. Mr. Comber has over ten years of sales leadership experience, the last three of which were spent building Pioneering’s Safe-T-element business throughout North America.

Prior to Pioneering Mr. Comber spent 7 years in sales with Johnston Equipment, Canada’s largest engineered systems and material handling company.

Michael Quast

Vice President of Marketing & Communications

Mr. Michael Quast serves as Vice President – Marketing and Communications of the Company. Mr. Quast is a strategic, business-focused communications and marketing leader with more than 25 years of experience in the areas of strategic branding, marketing, communications, public relations and award-winning content generation. Michael was instrumental in creating one of North America’s most trusted and iconic brands in contractor Mike Holmes (“Holmes On Homes”). He is a passionate advocate for homeowner safety and education. He has extensive experience in the new homebuilding, renovation and home inspection industries. Michael currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, Halton-Mississauga. Michael has a B.A. (Hons) from Queen’s University and a M.A. from the University of Manchester, UK.

Wayne Zu

Director of Engineering and Manufacturing

Wayne is an electrical engineer and a licensed professional engineer in Ontario since 2006, who earned his Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ryerson University in 2005. Wayne also holds a B.Sc.in Electrical Engineering from the North China Institute of Technology, China. He has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with companies in both China and Canada and has helped design, develop, manage and bring to market new technologies and products with these companies.

Wayne joined Pioneering Technology in March, 2012 and has been instrumental in helping Pioneering Technology develop and prepare to launch its two new products: RangeMinder and SmartBurner. Wayne’s technical expertise, design skills, management experience and people relationship skills have enabled Pioneering to get both of these products to the point of now being market ready. Wayne has also been instrumental in working with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that manufacturing of both current and new products will be of the highest quality standards possible.
